1.06 "House of the Rising Sun" - ABC.com - Official LOST wikiSynopsis: Tensions and tempers begin to flare, and we learn that Jin is capable of violent anger when he attacks Michael on the beach. Charlie's heroin addiction is revealed to Locke, who tries to help Charlie kick the habit. And the survivors find a needed source of water in some nearby caves.

Jack, Kate, Locke, and Charlie go to the cave to get water. Jack thinks the group should move to the cave. They discover a male and female skeleton in the cave whom they dub Adam and Eve. On one of the bodies, Jack finds a pouch with a white and black stone in it. This is the second reference to "black and white".

Flashback: Sun and Jin were once in love, despite the fact that Sun is the daughter of a prominent and powerful man, and Jin was only a poor doorman. Jin wins Sun's hand in marriage by agreeing to work for her father doing his "dirty work."

OMG Moment:
Jin is not the quiet and gentle man he appears to be -- he is a cold-hearted killer!

Questions and clues: What is the significance of all the coincidences on the island? Does Locke have special insight into what makes the island tick?

I disagree. Unless I am mistaken, we haven't seen Jin kill anyone. We have seen Sun's father ask Jin to kill people, but Jin always seems to send a warning, that while violent, is never deadly. And he seems to want out of this job very badly. He objects every time he asked to "warn" someone, and seems to show remorse when he is done. And I think he only continues to work for Jin's father out of sense of obligation to her, which shows how deep his love goes. I don't see him as cold-hearted at all.
